There was a rose garden at No. 18.

In summer, its scent would find its way through the open windows and into the house, mingling with the warmth of old rooms and the evening air.

No. 18, Ellenville was my grandfather’s house.

This candle takes its name from that place, and from the roses that grew there.

A soft, natural rose with the freshness of petals in bloom, softened by the warmth of the house beyond the garden. Floral, but never sweet; familiar, but difficult to place.
